In a remote corner of the puna, survivors recall, as in a dream, a distant battle. Looking in the past the traces of lost illusions. Baste songs, images and scenes to rescue in these fragments the meaning of life and recover hope. Opposing powers, exile, struggles, elusive loves, deaths, and disagreements: over time the facts seem to change of place and sense: victims and perpetrators are mixed. The memory, then, brings the essential: men and women away from all forms of heroism, fighting surrounded by shadows in search of a truth which may not exist.
