de lágrimas traffics a repertoire under a common denominator. The sweep is thematic and invites to meet airs and songs that go from the Baroque times to our days.
The connector, union or join is, paradoxically, a fluid: tears. Across the tears we will travel the diverse ways of thinking the sorrow, of facing with happiness.
de lágrimas is a musical performance crossed by the theatre: the work turns on the dramatic machines that the songs hide.
de lágrimas draws an arch on the way of appropriation of the emotions through the centuries: how men have looked the sorrow and the joy, how men express the joy and the sorrow.
What follows is a declaration of principles: it is time for simple emotions. That’s because I consider necessary that the communication among those who are on stage and the public has to be simple and direct.
de lágrimas has got this advantage: to go straight to the spectator’s heart without low strokes or distilled procedures.
de lágrimas tries to bring near, with the music, the place where the art appears: the exact middle point in the way, which join the interpreter with the spectator.
Creation occurs on an empty space.
Always.
de lágrimas tries to build one.
